Okay, I get a little heated about this topic because I can't understand why grown men that are living a dream by playing a game and earning millions are throwing their careers and lives away by being just plain ignorant.
Case in point: At least 5 players within the last week alone have been arrested for DUI, Another 15 - 20 for domestic violence. Weapons possession, charges of attempted murder. Who can forget dumb ass Ray Carruth. Speak on it.

Stupidity is really the only reasoning I see in it.

Apparently they just don't care. That status of being recognized everywhere you go can increase an ego tremendously. Once that ego becomes enlarged, they begin to believe I am above the law. "I can do whatever I want!" Until they get behind the wheel of the SUV and meet the tree or the guard rail. Then, their standing in front of the judge with attorney and agent in tow.

Yeah, the NFL is being taken over by thugs, and the owners are just as guilty. It doesn't matter how good a player is, if you know the guy has a history of getting into trouble, then you don't sign him. Look at the WHOLE player, not just how fast he can run or throw a ball.
