I USED TO GO TO DON PEPES BACK IN THE DAY, THE PAELLA IS OFF THE CHAIN!!
I HEARD ABOUT THE MELTING POT, ITS SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD, EXPENSIVE TOO.

Lua's in Hoboken has great scenery (the people AND the New York City skyline) and the food is even better. (Latin-Asian cuisine). It rivals Lotus in NYC.
In NYC, Asia de Cuba has the making for a special amazing dinner- expensive as hell though, but you'll be happy with any dish.
Calle Ocho in NYC is definitely my favorite in NYC's upper west side.
BUT - don't get my started with restaurants!!!!
