I KNOW I DO. GROWING UP I DIDNT REALLY COMPREHEND THE FEAR OF GOD BUT I UNDERSTOOD THE FEAR OF MY FATHER!!! I TRY TO INSTILL THE SAME FEAR IN MY CHILDREN TO KEEP THEM ON THE RIGHT PATH AND AWAY FROM THE PITFALLS OF THEIR INNOCENCE AND NAIVETY.

I spank them when it calls for it. I ask myself prior to, "does the crime fit the punishment?" Is this incident worthy of the good old fashioned spanking. More often than not, it doesn't. The blantant disregard of the rules is grounds for the beat down. But, I have also mastered, "THE LOOK!" My children are well aware of what the, "LOOK" means and what happens when the Jedi mind trick is used. I know I got my behind serviced when I was a kid. It kept me in line, because I didn't like being spanked.

I tear my daughter when she should know better. I can't take it when I tell her not to do something and she does it anyway. Thank god, it's not often that I have to do it. Now when I look at her, she runs into her room crying....lol, it's classic.
Man, when I was younger I was a terror. Everyone will tell you, lol. But that didn't stop me from getting my ass whooped!!!!! And with whatever was near by......shoe, spoon, belt, switch, etc, etc, etc. I know the fear of my parents still!!!!

I'll tell you like this, there was a period of time when, nothing I did was accetable for my mom. She would get at me with whatever as well. Does anyone remember the wooden spoon and fork that would hang off the walls in folks kitchen's back in the day? Well, that and the laces you'd get at summer camp, those were the weapons of choose for her.
